Dinosaur Mountain got busy in 2006

Last year, lots of us discovered why Jim Holloway enjoyed the boulders up there so much in the twilight of his bouldering.

November 17, 2006: Andy Mann on Common Front Range Flying Squirrel, Dinosaur Mountain, Flatirons, CO. What can I say about Dinosaur Mountain? ... Awesome warm-up hike to beautiful, sometime impeccable stone in an unreal setting. The rock lends itself to harder problems with a concentration in the V4 - V8 range, with a handful of harder problems including the silly and ridiculous looking Slapshot. Why there weren't more well-known established problems up on Dinosaur Mountain before 2006 is beyond me. A few of the obscure things we played on this year had clearly been done before, but so many had not. The area is still in its infancy ... keep hiking and you'll see. Can't wait until the snow melts!!! ... in like March.
