what's in a name?

For me, old-school problems that have names are usually more memorable.

October 14, 2006: Justin Jaeger on Merest Excrescences, The Cube, Dinosaur Mountain, Flatirons, CO. JJ had done the line before, so he jumped on it immediately and showed us the way. What this name means or who made it up is beyond me ... According to CG, John Allen from Sheffield, England got an early ascent but it remains unclear to me whether he named it or if Bob Horan did. Anyway, pretty much the whole crew chucked a lap on this cool and memorable 22 footer on a perfect October morning.
